Corominas y Castillo is founded by Dr. Emma Rosa Corominas de Castillo, the first female radiologist in Mexico.
After working 13 years at the Mexican Cardiology Institute Ignacio Chávez, Dr. Emma Rosa Corominas de Castillo begins working at a radiology office located on the street Tabasco and Tonalá in the Roma Section of Mexico City.
Dra. Emma Rosa relocates west to the city of Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico and, with the support of her husband, together begin the first medical imaging service, opening their office on the street Veracruz #41 South.
With the arrival of new technologies and the incorporation of Dr. Samuel Castillo Corominas, the radiology unit begins to grow in equipment and attention units.
Ultrasound and CT Scan services are incorporated.
MRI services are incorporated, and this single fact launches Corominas y Castillo as a groundbreaking health service provider for all diagnostics areas within the State of Nayarit.
Daily demands supported the growth to incorporate cardiology, endoscopy and lab diagnostics services.
TODAY WE HAVE 14 SERVICE UNITS, INDEPENDENT AND IN-HOSPITAL.

Corominas y Castillo is founded in 1945 under the name “Diagnóstico Radiológico” Dra. Emma Rosa Corominas de Castillo.
In 2015, the name changes to “Corominas y Castillo S.C. Radiología, Imagen y Laboratorio” – Radiology, Imaging and Clinical Lab Services.
During 79 years of service, Corominas y Castillo has attended and accommodated over 2 million patients, offering experience and quality service through several generations.
