Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a medical diagnostic modality that does not use ionizing radiation. This modality uses a powerful magnetic field to produce detailed pictures of different parts of your body.

This is a great exam to study the central nervous system and the musculoskeletal system. This test takes approximately 30 minutes. Contrast material may be needed for certain cases. This test is not available for patients with a pacemaker.
